The Magi is the monthly members-only magazine of The Order of The Magi.

First published on 1 May 1910, just over a year after The Order of The Magi was founded, The Magi has been an important part of the society for more than a century and has never missed an edition.

Each issue contains a mixture of society news and contributions from members, including articles on magic, magical history, tricks and techniques, reviews, reports and other material of interest to magicians.

In 2018, after more than a century as a printed publication, The Magi moved to electronic publication. Today, the magazine continues to be published monthly and is available exclusively to members of The Order of The Magi.

Over its long history, The Magi has also acquired a few quirks of its own. In 2026, research into the society’s archives uncovered a fascinating series of historical numbering anomalies in the magazine, eventually establishing the correct volume numbering for the present day.

An archive of past issues of The Magi is being digitised and made available to members through the Members’ Only area of this website.

We are also working to fill gaps in the society’s collection. If you have original copies of The Magi that you would be willing to donate, please contact the Secretary.
